Short Description   Eucalyptus portuensis or E. acmenoides, Corymbia trachyphloia subsp. trachyphloia woodland on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks

Comments   12.12.11: Mostly in the northern half of bioregion.

Special Values   12.12.11: Potential habitat for NCA listed species: Acacia sp. (Castletower N.Gibson TOI345), Cassinia collina, Commersonia leiperi, Daviesia discolor, Eucalyptus decolor, Grevillea venusta, Habenaria xanthantha, Macrozamia cardiacensis and Melaleuca formosa. This ecosystem is known to provide suitable habitat for koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus).

Fraser Coast Region Distribution   All mapped areas in the western half of the region.

Long Description   Eucalyptus portuensis or E. acmenoides, Corymbia trachyphloia subsp. trachyphloia woodland +/- E. crebra, C. intermedia, E. exserta and Angophora leiocarpa. Whipstick Lophostemon confertus often present in understorey and in gullies. Occurs on hillsides on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 9h).
