Species information

Aphananthe philippinensis   Planch.

This native tree is commonly known as rough-leaved elm.

Aphananthe philippinensis is described as a "dicot" in the Ulmaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Fruiting Tiaro, June 2016. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 44 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Dundathu, River Heads, Craignish, Takura, Toogoom, Aldershot, Duckinwilla, Urraween, Tiaro, Dundowran, Howard, Yengarie, Kanigan, Glenwood, Burrum Heads, Mount Urah, Granville, Bidwill, Magnolia, Yerra, St Mary, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Island Plantation, Mungar, Teddington, Maryborough West, Maryborough, Tinana, Tuan Forest, Talegalla Weir, Bauple Forest, Boompa, Malarga, Doongul, Pioneers Rest, Owanyilla, Eli Waters, Gundiah, Glenbar, Brooweena, Gootchie, Point Vernon.
