In Fraser Coast region recorded only on K'gari (Fraser Island) which is the northern limit. Elsewhere recorded mainly in coastal localities south to the Sydney area. ‘Back on Track’ high priority plant species for the Burnett Mary NRM region. Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
