Species information

Eremochloa bimaculata   Hack.

This native groundcover is commonly known as poverty grass.

Eremochloa bimaculata is described as a "monocot" in the Poaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 31 Fraser Coast localities: Duckinwilla, Cherwell, Howard, Burrum Heads, Burrum Town, Burgowan, Takura, Walliebum, Dundowran, Tandora, Booral, Beelbi Creek, Woocoo, Paterson, Mount Urah, Tuan Forest, Talegalla Weir, Doongul, Walligan, Point Vernon, Bauple Forest, Granville, Beaver Rock, Sunshine Acres, Antigua, St Mary, Tiaro, Teebar, Magnolia, Maryborough, Maryborough West.
