Species information

Everistia vacciniifolia var. nervosa   F.Muell.

This native tree is commonly known as small-leaved canthium.

Everistia vacciniifolia var. nervosa is described as a "dicot" in the Rubiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Includes previous Canthium microphyllum and Canthium vacciniifolium (Australian Plant Census). Black fruits in March 2016 at Yengarie. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 23 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Takura, Duckinwilla, River Heads, Howard, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Booral, Sunshine Acres, Urraween, Kanigan, Teddington, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Magnolia, Malarga, Boompa, Doongul, St Mary, Mount Urah, Tinana, Nikenbah, Antigua.
