Pluchea xanthina
is described as a "dicot"
in the
Asteraceae
family.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
The name Pluchea dioscoridis has been misapplied to this species in the past. Distribution is north-west of the Fraser Coast region (A.R. Bean Austrobaileya Vol. 8, No. 3 (2011), pp. 340-346). One record from near Maryborough.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
