Species information

Scolopia braunii   (Klotzsch) Sleumer

This native tree is commonly known as flintwood.

Scolopia braunii is described as a "dicot" in the Salicaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 28 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Craignish, Toogoom, Aldershot, Duckinwilla, K'gari, River Heads, Dundowran, Howard, Booral, Urraween, Burrum Heads, Mount Urah, Granville, Bidwill, Magnolia, Yerra, Tinnanbar, Teddington, Bauple, Tandora, Yengarie, Doongul, Eli Waters, Scarness, Pialba, St Mary, Tuan Forest.
