Another common name is "corkwood wattle" (Pedley, L. in Stanley, T.D. & Ross, E.M. (1984), Mimosaceae. Flora of South-eastern Queensland 1). The Fraser Coast region is at the northern limit of this species apart from a disjunct record from near Monto to the north (Australian Virtual Herbarium).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 10 Fraser Coast localities: Duckinwilla, Howard, Teddington, Yerra, Bauple Forest, Talegalla Weir, Urraween, Doongul, Antigua, Point Vernon.
