Perennial, rhizomatous or stoloniferous pasture grass (Stanley and Ross). In Queensland Flora Census 2023 known as Digitaria eriantha 'Pangola'.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 17 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Point Vernon, Burrum Heads, Toogoom, Urangan, Bidwill, Teddington, Boonooroo Plains, Walkers Point, Tinana, Mount Urah, Granville, River Heads, Tandora, Tinana South, Yengarie, Urraween.
