Previously known as Epaltes australis (Queensland Flora Census 2014).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 31 Fraser Coast localities: Cherwell, Pacific Haven, Duckinwilla, Sunshine Acres, St Mary, Beelbi Creek, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Doongul, Tinana, Yengarie, Walligan, Burrum Heads, Takura, Poona, Aldershot, Booral, Point Vernon, Tuan, Tiaro, Maryborough, Bauple Forest, Mount Urah, Craignish, Woocoo, Teddington, Dundathu, Owanyilla, Teebar, Urraween, Maryborough West.
