Plants of the Fraser Coast Region

This native tree is commonly known as Moreton Bay fig.

Ficus macrophylla forma macrophylla is described as a "dicot" in the Moraceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mt Urah. Reported along the Mary River, Tinana Creek, Booral, Dundowran, Eli CCreek and Urangan. Listed as a priority locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region Threatened Species Action Plan (Ecosure 2019, Stage 2 TSAP for Fraser Coast LGA, version R3, Report to Fraser Coast Regional Council. Brisbane.). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 14 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Booral, Tiaro, Urraween, Island Plantation, Paterson, Tinana, Teddington, Urangan, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Yengarie, Point Vernon, Antigua.
