A very small, slender plant with a single, slim, tubular onion-like leaf that encloses the flowering stem for most of its length. Flowering stem 8-12cm high with 3-8 very small pendant 5mm long greenish flowers. Flowering period March-May. Not common. Poona N/P (Maaroom & Boonooroo). (Alan Logan). Previously known as Genoplesium pumilum. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
