Species information

Glochidion lobocarpum   (Benth.) F.M.Bailey

This native tree is commonly known as small-leaved cheese tree.

Glochidion lobocarpum is described as a "dicot" in the Phyllanthaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In the Fraser Coast region restricted to coastal localities apart from an outling record near Aramara and reports at Malarga. The region is at the southern limit of this species.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 18 Fraser Coast localities: Takura, Booral, Dundowran Beach, Point Vernon, Urraween, Toogoom, Torquay, Urangan, Burrum Heads, Craignish, River Heads, Beelbi Creek, Pialba, Malarga, Eli Waters, Poona, Walligan, K'gari.
