Species information

Aegiceras corniculatum   (L.) Blanco

This native tree is commonly known as river mangrove.

Aegiceras corniculatum is described as a "dicot" in the Myrsinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Also reported at Tin Can Bay (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/318539020). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 22 Fraser Coast localities: Dundathu, Pacific Haven, Toogoom, Susan River, Aldershot, Eli Waters, Howard, Burrum River, Maryborough, Beelbi Creek, River Heads, Granville, Tuan, Tinana, Tinnanbar, Tandora, K'gari, Point Vernon, Boonooroo Plains, Beaver Rock, Booral, Craignish.
