scarlet fuchsia.
Graptophyllum excelsum
is described as a "dicot"
in the
Acanthaceae
family.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Near Threatened.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Not recorded in Fraser Coast region. The main distribution is from the Gladstone area and to the north. A disjunct population is mapped at Jimna to the south. Includes Graptophyllum thorogoodii (Australian Plant Census).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
