Species information

Ipomoea pes-caprae subsp. brasiliensis   (L.) Ooststr.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as goatsfoot.

Ipomoea pes-caprae subsp. brasiliensis is described as a "dicot" in the Convolvulaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Also observed at Pelican Bank in Hervey Bay (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/186374154) and Big Woody Island (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/179127034). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 12 Fraser Coast localities: Point Vernon, Toogoom, Urangan, Dundowran Beach, Burrum Heads, River Heads, Tinnanbar, Eli Waters, Poona, K'gari, Pialba, Great Sandy Strait.
