Lepidosperma laterale   R.Br.

This native groundcover is commonly known as variable swordsedge.

Lepidosperma laterale is described as a "monocot" in the Cyperaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 33 Fraser Coast localities: Booral, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Susan River, Wondunna, Urangan, Duckinwilla, Cherwell, Prawle, Walligan, Mount Urah, Bidwill, Teddington, Yengarie, Bauple, Poona, Talegalla Weir, Bauple Forest, Magnolia, Boompa, Tinana, K'gari, Granville, St Mary, Tuan Forest, Tinnanbar, Beelbi Creek, Doongul, Walliebum, Boonooroo Plains, Sunshine Acres, Dunmora, Maryborough West.
