Species information

Leptospermum polygalifolium   Salisb.

This native shrub is commonly known as wild may.

Leptospermum polygalifolium is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 30 Fraser Coast localities: Urangan, Dundowran, Walligan, Burrum Heads, Wondunna, Toogoom, Cherwell, Prawle, Booral, Pacific Haven, Craignish, Dunmora, Beelbi Creek, Poona, Bidwill, Yengarie, Tuan Forest, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Magnolia, Boompa, Mount Urah, Urraween, Boonooroo Plains, Granville, St Mary, Walliebum, Tinana, Howard, Maryborough West.
