Species information

Allocasuarina littoralis   (Salisb.) L.A.S.Johnson

This native tree is commonly known as black she-oak.

Allocasuarina littoralis is described as a "dicot" in the Casuarinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A common she-oak in the Fraser Coast region. Sometimes found together with Allocasuarina torulosa. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 57 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, River Heads, Urangan, Sunshine Acres, Booral, Pacific Haven, Walligan, Burrum River, Burrum Heads, Toogoom, Susan River, Wondunna, Duckinwilla, Torquay, Cherwell, Burgowan, Walliebum, Prawle, Dundowran, Urraween, Yengarie, Torbanlea, Pialba, Howard, Takura, Bauple Forest, Dunmora, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Poona, Tuan Forest, Mount Urah, Teddington, Antigua, Island Plantation, Boonooroo, Paterson, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Dundathu, Boompa, Tandora, Tinana, K'gari, Point Vernon, Eli Waters, Kawungan, Walkers Point, Doongul, Owanyilla, Boonooroo Plains, Granville, St Mary, Maryborough, Teebar, Magnolia, Maryborough West.
