An uncommon species in coastal areas. Recorded just to the north near Woodgate in the Bundaberg region. Indicative of solodic soils with extremely poor internal drainage (Maryborough Elliott River Land Use Study). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/177138216
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Pacific Haven, Burrum River, Walliebum, Burrum Heads.
