Species information

Allocasuarina torulosa   (Aiton) L.A.S.Johnson

This native tree is commonly known as forest she-oak.

Allocasuarina torulosa is described as a "dicot" in the Casuarinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A common she-oak sometimes found together with Allocasuarina littoralis. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 47 Fraser Coast localities: Takura, Urangan, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Wondunna, Torquay, Duckinwilla, Kawungan, Doongul, Booral, Pialba, Howard, Pacific Haven, Glenwood, Dunmora, Mount Urah, Walkers Point, Beaver Rock, Bidwill, Teddington, Yerra, Antigua, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Glenorchy, Tinana, Island Plantation, Paterson, Great Sandy Strait, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Bauple Forest, Magnolia, Boompa, Tandora, Susan River, Malarga, K'gari, Burrum Town, Yengarie, Owanyilla, Aldershot, Granville, River Heads, St Mary, Gootchie, Teebar.
