Distribution is from Baffle Creek south to Maryborough with outliers to the south on Cooloola Coast Road Poona and north-west of Lake Cootharaba outside of the Fraser Coast region. Listed as a priority locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region Threatened Species Action Plan (Ecosure 2019, Stage 2 TSAP for Fraser Coast LGA, version R3, Report to Fraser Coast Regional Council. Brisbane.). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 12 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Takura, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Howard, Burrum Heads, Pacific Haven, Burrum River, Beelbi Creek, Tuan Forest, Tandora, Dunmora.
