Species information

Melaleuca nodosa   (Gaertn.) Sm.

This native shrub is commonly known as prickly-leaved paperbark.

Melaleuca nodosa is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 26 Fraser Coast localities: Craignish, Urangan, Dundowran, Pacific Haven, Cherwell, Howard, Burrum Heads, Dundowran Beach, Booral, Sunshine Acres, Walligan, Urraween, Beelbi Creek, Toogoom, Beaver Rock, Tuan, Tuan Forest, Talegalla Weir, Boonooroo Plains, Point Vernon, Eli Waters, Tinana, Granville, Walliebum, Takura, Dunmora.
