Species information

Amyema congener subsp. congener   (Sieber ex Schult. & Schult.f.) Tiegh.

This native epiphyte is commonly known as erect mistletoe.

Amyema congener subsp. congener is described as a "dicot" in the Loranthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

This subspecies is usually found in coastal areas (Stanley and Ross. 1995. Flora of south-eastern Queensland, Volume 1). Hosts at Tuan Forest Allocasuarina littoralis and Acacia leiocalyx subsp. leiocalyx. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 10 Fraser Coast localities: River Heads, Tinnanbar, Yengarie, Tuan Forest, Bauple, K'gari, Point Vernon, Takura, Sunshine Acres, Burrum Heads.
