Relatively high host specificity and a vegetative resemblance to Eucalyptus spp. (Barlow and Wiens 1977 Australian mistletoe mimicry). Distribution across much of Australia including inland areas. In Fraser Coast region recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) and at Tinnanbar only. Reported host Acacia leiocalyx.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
