Species information

Phyllanthus virgatus   G.Forst.

This native groundcover is commonly known as twiggy phyllanthus.

Phyllanthus virgatus is described as a "dicot" in the Phyllanthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 27 Fraser Coast localities: Duckinwilla, Cherwell, Pacific Haven, Craignish, Walligan, Dundowran Beach, Beelbi Creek, River Heads, Granville, Maryborough, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Mount Urah, Booral, Point Vernon, Tiaro, Bauple Forest, Tandora, Woocoo, Beaver Rock, Owanyilla, Takura, Sunshine Acres, Antigua, St Mary, Teebar, Maryborough West.
