Species information

Polyscias elegans   (C.Moore & F.Muell.) Harms

This native tree is commonly known as celery wood.

Polyscias elegans is described as a "dicot" in the Araliaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 49 Fraser Coast localities: Takura, Dundowran Beach, Booral, Pacific Haven, Craignish, Toogoom, Urraween, Aldershot, Duckinwilla, K'gari, River Heads, Howard, Dundowran, Yengarie, Kawungan, Burrum Heads, Kanigan, Urangan, Glenwood, Mount Urah, Tuan Forest, Bidwill, Magnolia, Teddington, Yerra, Antigua, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Gootchie, Island Plantation, Gunalda, Great Sandy Strait, Poona, Talegalla Weir, Bauple Forest, Tinnanbar, Malarga, Boompa, Tandora, Doongul, St Mary, Eli Waters, Scarness, Torquay, Wondunna, Tiaro, Glenbar, Point Vernon, Owanyilla.
