Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
In the Fraser coast region recorded only on K'gari (Fraser Island) which appears to be the southern limit. Also reported at Tandora and Tinnanbar. Published distribution is from Nambour northward (Gwen Harden, Hugh Nicholson, Bill McDonald, Nan Nicholson, Terry Tame, John Williams. 2014. Rainforest Plants of Australia).
It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
