Species information

Schoenus apogon var. apogon   Roem. & Schult.

This native groundcover is commonly known as fluke bogrush.

Schoenus apogon var. apogon is described as a "monocot" in the Cyperaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 14 Fraser Coast localities: Duckinwilla, Beelbi Creek, Poona, Tandora, Walliebum, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Bauple Forest, Walligan, Boonooroo Plains, Granville, Beaver Rock, Sunshine Acres, Maryborough West.
