Species information

Utricularia aurea   Lour.

This native aquatic plant is commonly known as golden bladderwort.

Utricularia aurea is described as a "dicot" in the Lentibulariaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Flowering Yengarie December 2020 after first summer rain. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 8 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Duckinwilla, Yengarie, Maryborough, Beaver Rock, Sunshine Acres.
