In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Fraser Coast reports at Dundowran, Craignish, Lenthalls Dam, Mt Walsh, Tinana Creek and Mt Kanigan are outliers at the northern limit of the main southern population. Not recorded between Noosa River and Miriam Vale.
It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Duckinwilla, Kanigan, Bidwill, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Teddington, Craignish, Boompa, Takura, Tuan Forest.
