Plants with strongly lemon scented leaves previously known as Corymbia citriodora subsp. citriodora confirmed at Vernon State Forest Takura, Nahrung Rd Doongul and reported at Howard. Subspecies no longer recognised (Queensland Flora Census 2024).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
