This native shrub
is commonly known as
grey grass tree.
Xanthorrhoea glauca subsp. glauca
is described as a "monocot"
in the
Xanthorrhoeaceae
family.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Known from the Binjour plateau on steep basaltic soils (See Stanley and Ross, Vol.3. p.45)
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
