Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Sometimes identified in unmaintained park areas. Does not appear to have established as a weed species. Listed as an invasive plant under the Biosecurity Act 2014 but not prohibited or restricted.
It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
