Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Widespread elsewhere in Qld outside of the Fraser Coast region. The nearest record is at Goomeri. Previously regarded as a weed species that may be poisonous to stock (Weeds of Queensland. 1977. Kleinschmidt and Johnson).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 5 Fraser Coast localities: Doongul, Kanigan, Gigoomgan, Tinana, Gootchie.
