Recorded next to the Bruce Highway near Howard north of Maryborough. Record from 1975 states that the specimens were planted by the Main Roads Department. Natural presence in Fraser Coast region needs confirmation. More records in Bundaberg region in Cordalba State Forest.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
