Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Flowering at Maaroom February 2016. Prefers slightly more elevated drier areas than Banksia robur.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 31 Fraser Coast localities: Urangan, Walligan, Burrum Heads, Wondunna, Cherwell, Howard, Toogoom, Prawle, Dundowran, Booral, Burgowan, Walliebum, Pacific Haven, Sunshine Acres, Urraween, Kawungan, Craignish, Beelbi Creek, Poona, Bidwill, Teddington, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Aldershot, Susan River, Boonooroo Plains, Maaroom, Tuan Forest, Granville, Tin Can Bay, Dunmora.
