Recorded in the Fraser Coast region only on K'gari (Fraser Island). Also reported at Mt Urah, Mt Bauple, Grongah National Park, Tinana Creek, Mary River Heads and Takura. Previously known as Caesalpinia scortechinii (Census 2017).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 7 Fraser Coast localities: River Heads, Bauple, Magnolia, Malarga, K'gari, Mount Urah, Takura.
