A small plant with a single linear leaf 5-10cm high. Flower stem 12-18cm high with 1-4 pure white, greenish white or pinkish flowers 1.5-2cm in diameter. Main flowering period May-July. Not common. Maaroom (Poona N/P); K'gari (Fraser Island); Tinnanbar. (Alan Logan). An iconic flowering ground orchid within the region. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting).

listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
