A medium sized plant with a single erect (or obliquely erect) linear grass-like leaf 15-20cm in length; V-shape in cross section. Flowering stem 25-40cm high with 3-8 3cm high greenish brown flowers that have a heavily fringed labellum. Very rare in area with 5-6 plants in Vernon C/P. Flowering period August-September. (Alan Logan). Also reported from Talegalla Weir and Boonooroo areas. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
