Species information

Carex appressa   R.Br.

This native groundcover is commonly known as tall sedge.

Carex appressa is described as a "monocot" in the Cyperaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded to the north, west and south of Fraser Coast region.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Bauple Forest.
