Widest leaves less than 1.5 mm wide, margins revolute. Longest leaves 22-50 mm long. Branchlets glabrous or with dense spreading (often gland-tipped) straight hairs 0.05-0.2 mm long and sparse subsessile globular hairs. Inflorescences conical; involucral bracts brown, translucent; capitula (groups of tightly packed flowers) widely spaced (KeyBase Flowering plants of Queensland: Species of Cassinia By: Bean, A.R.).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
