Species information

Centella asiatica   (L.) Urb.

This native groundcover is commonly known as pennywort.

Centella asiatica is described as a "dicot" in the Apiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 42 Fraser Coast localities: Sunshine Acres, Booral, Dundowran Beach, Burrum Heads, Toogoom, Point Vernon, Prawle, Cherwell, Duckinwilla, Tiaro, Pacific Haven, Pialba, River Heads, Poona, Walkers Point, Bidwill, Teddington, Yerra, Gigoomgan, Tinana, Talegalla Weir, K'gari, Tinnanbar, Kawungan, Doongul, Urangan, Walliebum, Bauple Forest, Tuan Forest, Maryborough, Walligan, Takura, St Mary, Aldershot, Granville, Beaver Rock, Owanyilla, Magnolia, Urraween, Maryborough West, Bauple, Boompa.
