A very small plant with a single round l-2cm diameter leaf at ground level. Flowering stem very short, about 5mm high, with a 1.5 cm high dark reddish-brown globular hooded flower. Flowering period June-July. Fairly common. Vernon Conservation Park; Maaroom (Poona National Park); Roadside verge Boonooroo (Alan Logan). Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). Also reported at Tuan and Poona (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/88429740).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
